Work History

vJan 2013 – Nov 2014: Orbit Drafting Intern at Cameron Valves & Measurement, Little Rock

Description: I managed a project known as the “Modeling Project.” I worked to completely replace 2-dimensional drawings with 3-dimensional models & drawings for various parts of valves using Autodesk Inventor. Another part of the project was to re-name all documents to not be specific to material, using a new naming system. I managed files using our Vault database as well as created/revised parts & documents in our global processes database, SAP GUI. I also modeled other parts when needed, such as seat tool mechanisms, stems/cams, and other various parts. I updated repair/installation manuals for our line’s actuators. Updating included creating new images for the manuals using existing models in the Vault, as well as re-writing the assembly & disassembly instructions for the manuals per the new training class for shop employees. I also spent time on the shop floor building actuators, bonnet assemblies, and working with valve instrumentation. I attended engineering & safety meetings and learned & complied with engineering standards & best practices.

vDec. 2012 – Jan 2013: Infrastructure Data Specialist at CenterPoint Energy, Little Rock

Description: I worked in the Infrastructure Data Group, updating all plastic pipe in the Geographical Information System. I worked to maintain data integrity; sometimes involving research of related engineering documents & historical maps to ensure GIS has only accurate, trustworthy data. I attended weekly team meetings & performed quality control every morning.

vMay 2012 – Dec. 2012: Drafter (temporary) at Cameron Valves & Measurement, Little Rock

Description: I was initially was hired through a staffing agency, with my primary duty being to set the Modeling Project (mentioned above) in motion. I feel I have made quite an impact in aiding our department to reach the goal set forth for the Modeling Project, which is a goal that will intend to boost sales & customer satisfaction. During this time as a temp, I mostly worked on the Modeling Project only. As the Orbit Drafting Intern, many more duties became responsibilities of mine
